When did you first join the Kraft & Jute family?: August 2015

What steps did you go through when creating your packaging? Any advice to photographers beginning to use packaging?: I was looking for the perfect packaging for a while - through kraft stores and self made, when I stumbled across Kraft & Jute. They had everything I needed - Slips for Images, Boxes, USB Boxes, - and it was cute, organic and affordable. Also they looked perfectly professional and I loved that I was able to customize it.

When I picked out what I wanted for packaging, I wanted to stick to my brand and my brand colors. My brand is gold, white and kraft, I LOVE golden polka dots, so the options picked perfectly. Than I thought about what I was going to deliver, so I picked the products based on my needs, and fluffed it up by adding cute accents.

Why do you feel that packaging is so important to your brand?: Packaging is important because it delivers the final product. Often times, people think we just push a button and thats it - but if you present the final product in a beautiful and boutique-esque form, it gives your work more value. A beautiful presentation brings your work to another level, your clients realize that you put work in it and that you value them because you went the extra mile - especially because a lot of clients don't expect it.

I was told that getting their final package made them feel like unwrapping a present, and so much more excited.

Best advice that you've ever been given in your photography career?: Hustle and hard work will set you apart, it's my motto, and I even have it hanging in my office.

To be successful or even semi successful in the creative industry you have to work your tush off. Never stop working, never stop learning, and always try to go the extra mile. Have Heart. Care about your clients and colleagues. We are all just trying to make it and live our dream, you will get so much further if you befriend your fellow girl bosses and support them, hate has no room. We are all in this together, so we might as well lift each other up and work together.

It is the same with clients. If you show compassion and understanding to your clients, and get to know them on a personal level, it will give you the chance to not only make a new friend but also to truly capture the spirit of them when you photograph them and understand them so much better, which not only takes your photos to a new level but makes them that much more personal!
